A traditional Devon farmhouse recipe enjoyed with lemonade. Described by Marco Pierre White as ‘delicious’.
Wild hand-picked sloes are steeped in gin, then after 6 months or so they are extracted and immersed in a still West Country cider. The resulting liqueur is cold-filtered, producing this unique drink with aromas of apples, floral botanicals and bittersweet sloes.
This liqueur can be drunk neat or simply mixed with tonic, soda water or lemonade. Perfect for picnics and BBQs, try our summer fruit cup using lemonade ice cubes, cucumber, apple slices, mint, lemon and borage flowers for a long summer drink.
In winter mull it with a little sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and a slice of apple and pear for a warming winter noggin.
Variety: Prunus spinosa
