Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our shop, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit and debit card payments but are not able to offer credit.  We accept MasterCard, Visa Debit and Visa Credit.  Unfortunately we are not able to accept payment by AMEX.

We operate a ‘Challenge 25’ policy. Age verification is required by UK law for the sale of alcoholic drinks.  We use age verification softwares to check that we are not selling to those under 18 years of age; by ordering you are agreeing to our on-line checking of information that is already in the public domain.  If we are unable to verify your age in this way we will contact you directly to ask for proof of age (such as a copy of your passport or driving licence).

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping & Handling

We use a next day courier and ship to mainland UK ONLY.  Unfortunately our courier does not deliver to the Isle of Man, The Channel Islands, the Scottish Islands or Ireland.

Post and packing is £7.20 per order including VAT. We do not charge for postage and packing for orders of £50 and over.   Unfortunately, our software does not apply this discount automatically: if your order is £50 or over please select “free shipping” when viewing your basket or when checking out.

The courier we use is UK Mail and the goods will need to be signed for. If you are not at home during the day please either have the goods sent to an address where someone can sign for them (this is often work) or leave a note in the “despatch details” box during your online ordering with a safe or secure location where the courier can deposit the goods. Examples include “Leave in porch if not in” or “Leave in green bin by side gate if not in”. If no instructions are given and you are not available to receive the goods, UK Mail will leave a card and you will either have to collect them or arrange re-delivery. Remember that around Christmas time all couriers’ service is under pressure.

Unfortunately due to the nature of alcohol it is subject to the duty regulations of each country. This means that it is not possible for us to dispatch to any country other than the UK. Below are three UK websites that can deliver our products  around the world:

Delivery Schedule

If your items are in stock we will usually despatch within 2 working days of receiving your order.  If your items are not in stock we will usually contact you within 2 working days to let you know when we will be able to despatch, you will then be able to cancel or amend the order.  We are unable to accept international orders.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

ALL orders are subject to 20% VAT.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Privacy Policy

Bramley and Gage Ltd. do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the ‘Remember Me’ Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to ‘Tools | Internet Options | Privacy’ and selecting to block cookies.
